"I'm afraid of Death," said my adult niece.

I don't know why this surprised me, but it did. Her fear brought the entire conversation to a halt because it was so strong that she couldn't even talk about it.

Death is a natural process that we all experience in 3-D. It happens to everyone at that level of Consciousness.

So why do we fear it?

Programming - by religious organizations to control us, to keep us in the fear matrix of 3-D duality consciousness.

The so-called corona virus is being used to rev up our fears and send us spiralling into states of confusion, panic, terror, and horror. This prevents us from thinking clearly, from asking questions unwanted by the government and others who seek to control us.

The "lockdown" is touted as a way to prevent people from getting sick, but it really is being used to isolate us, to limit our physical contact, which we need to be healthy physically and emotionally.

The goal seem to be to keep us small, limited, afraid, and isolated, and to get us to inject our bodies with whatever the controllers choose to put into what they are calling a vaccine.

BUT, and this is a very big BUT, there is SPIRITUAL GOOD NEWS if you choose to focus on that opportunity.

What if this whole situation is designed to get people to TURN WITHIN. To step back from everything they held onto that keeps them limited and small, and to give them an opportunity to question everything that they thought was true and real about their lives.

While there is chaos, there is opportunity to for new growth to emerge, new choices to be made, new adventures to be experienced.

And the greatest adventure of all is not, as Star Trek would have you believe, to go "where no man [or woman] has gone before."

The greatest adventure is to GO WITHIN and re-discover your Divinity, your True Self, and your infinite Divine nature.
This entire situation of lockdowns and masks, and fear-mongering messages (such as being told to "stay safe" 100 times a day) has the benefit, i.e., major Gold Nugget of giving you time and space to take a look at your life, to make new choices, to free you from your addiction to the material world, and to turn you back to your Soul, to your Divine Self.

If fear of death is keeping you small, you might read some books about NDE (Near Death Experiences). There are many good ones out there. They all demonstrate that what you believe is what you create.

Most people who have NDEs discover the Divine Truth of Infinite Love is readily available to them. They learn that they are the only one who is judging them. They often discover their Soul Purpose, and return to 3-D Consciousness with a strong desire to fulfill that purpose.

There are other ways to discover your Soul's purpose. You don't have to have an NDE to find out what it is. The important thing to remember is that your Soul does have a purpose for your life.

Remember, you have already been told that:
God is Love.
You were created from Love.
The Divine Self lives within you as You.
Infinite Love is the only Truth.
Everything else is illusion.

What will you choose? What kind of reality do you want to continue to experience?

One based on fear?

Or one based on Love?

One based on duality and conflict?

Or one based on unity and cooperation?

One based on limitation?

Or one based on expansion, which leads to great experiences of creativity, joy, and Love?

Over the years I have met so many people who are blessed in every area of life but, at the same time, state they are miserable. They do not have to worry about finances. They enjoy good health and loving relationships. They live in safe and secure environments that are filled with everything anyone could want. Yet they are miserable!

On the other hand, I have also met many people who have very little and yet they are filled with joy. Some struggle with health issues. Others have nothing materialistically. They might not have career options and don't even know where their next meal will come from. From the outside, it would seem that they have very little going for them. Yet they are filled with joy!

Christmas is a Christian celebration and throughout the month of December individuals throughout the whole world tend to talk about joy, peace and love. I thought it would be interesting to do an internet search asking for a definition of the word "joy" and whether it is an emotion. The response written by healthpsychology.com is one that invites serious thought.

Joy is an attitude or a belief, which soothes even in the most sorrowful of situations. Joy comes from within; it is an internal view. Joy in the Biblical context, is not an emotion. It is not based on something positive happening in life but is an attitude of the heart or spirit.

I believe that joy is different from happiness as it is deeper and does not depend on things that are beyond our control. Instead it is part of our core identity that involves thankfulness, living in the moment and embracing hope despite what is going on around us.

When we are experiencing joy, we are focused on positive things in our lives and not on the multiple negatives of the world that threaten to distract us. It is about being content and free from fear.

Think of some of the times in life when you have felt joy. What was happening at that time? Was the world perfect? Absolutely not. Was everything in your life perfect right then? Likely not.

The joy you were feeling likely had to do with an inner peace that inspired hope and emotional rest despite what was going on in the world.

Joy is an amazing word, and it is no wonder that we think about it during the festive time. For Christmas offers us an opportunity to focus on the reason for this season and the hope that it offers us for the future.

May your life be filled with joy - today and every day of the year!

This Is Why You Should Adopt a Cat

This Is Why You Should Adopt a Cat

By   |

When people decide on having a pet cat, they are faced with the dilemma of adopting or buying one. They can always buy a kitty from a well-known cat breeder, which is the best option if they are going for a purebred feline. However, there are a number of reasons why a kitten or cat from a shelter or rescue program could be the better choice for them. There are six reasons why it is best to adopt a cat.

This can be beneficial to the health of humans.

Cats, no matter where they come from, can provide many health benefits to their human family. They can comfort people who are depressed and lonely plus reduce the risk of strokes and heart attacks. Stroking a cat that purrs has proven to lower blood pressure. In addition, when children grow up with a pet cat, there are fewer chances for them to develop allergies and respiratory problems. In general, cats can ease loneliness and ward off health problems while building routine and structure to the life of their human companions.

Humans are saving the life of a cat. Cats that were rescued or live in shelters are there for a reason. They were either abused by their owners or found on the road so they need some new place to live. When people adopt a cat, this will prevent it from going through euthanasia when the shelter can no longer accommodate them because of overcrowding.

People can find a perfect pet in them. One good reason for adopting a cat is that people can choose from a wide range of cats when adopting one from a rescue program or shelter. They come is a large selection of breeds, ages, sizes, colors and coat types so there will surely be one that will be best for their home and family. What's more, employees of shelters and rescue groups can provide information about a cat's personality and habits.

People can save on expenses. Majority of cats that come from a shelter/rescue program are up-to-date when it comes to vaccination, check-up, neutering and spraying. People can save on such expenses and just need to pay the adoption fee, food plus other home-life essentials. There is no need to worry when it comes to grooming

Cats are known to groom themselves, so people do not need to spend much or exert effort in that regard. Certainly, cats with long hair need coat care on a regular basis but that will not be a problem with short-coated kitties.

People will have a new family member, which is low in maintenance. Cats are not as labor-intensive as dogs. There are some cat owners that like to take their cats out for walks but most cats just like to sleep 16 to 20 hours daily and they do not mind if they stay home all day. In case people will leave for a number of days, this will not be a problem with their pet cat since felines are self-sufficient and they can manage to be alone as long as they have lots of food and fresh water so there is no need for a pet sitter. It may take time to find the right cat for a home but people can be assured that the one they choose will be a source of joy and comfort to them. When a cat is happy, the home will be happy as well.

A feline who leaves a shelter/rescue program will be content to live with a loving family. Cats are so great that someone invented an app that tells you interesting cat facts. If you know someone who loves the felines, this app can help you send him (or her) a lot of cat facts texts!

Childhood Trauma: Can Someone Reject Life If They Experienced Childhood Trauma?

Childhood Trauma: Can Someone Reject Life If They Experienced Childhood Trauma? By Oliver JR Cooper | Submitted On November 11, 2020

If someone's early years were anything but nurturing, it would have meant that they didn't receive what needed in order to develop in the right way. To say that this would have been a challenging time in their life will most likely be an understatement.

Year after year, it could have been a living hell, and they could be amazed that they were able to handle this stage of their life. What this will show is how strong the human spirit is and how strong they are.

It's not over

However, although what took place will be over, it doesn't mean that they have been able to truly move on from what happened. Now that they are an adult, their life might not be very fulfilling.

In fact, they could be in a very bad way, and often wonder if there is any point to their existence. Ergo, their early years will have been incredibly difficult and their adult years won't be a lot different.

 Inner World

When it comes to their emotional experience on this earth, they could often feel down and empty. There could also be moments when they are filled with fear and anxiety and they could find it more or less impossible to settle down during these moments. There is also the chance that they will spend a lot of time up top, so to speak. This will be a time when their point of awareness will be in their head and they will be out of touch with what is taking place in their body.

Outer World

Due to what is generally taking place inside them, they are going to find it hard to feel safe. It won't matter where they are as their inner experience will often be projected onto their outer environment and the people who they come into contact with. Along with this, what is taking place internally will cause them to co-create situations, circumstances, and events that won't be life-affirming. But, even though they will be playing a part in what they experience,  it could seem as though this is just how life is and that they are not playing a part in their experience.

Relationships

As for the people in their life, there could be a number of people who are not a good match for them. Through not feeling completely at ease around them, they could have the tendency to lose themselves in their company. Their main priority is then going to be to do what they can to please them and what they think will please them. The interactions that they have with these people are then seldom, if ever, going to uplift them.

Another Area If they have a job, apart from the money that they receive at the end of each month, it might not do much for them. Not only could what they do be incredibly soul-destroying, but a few of the people who they work with might not make their experience any better. The best part of their workday could be the end and they might spend a lot of time thinking about the end of the week. And whenever they have time off, they might find it very hard to go back to work again.

The Story Continues If they knew what their life would be like as time went by, they might have been happy to call it a day very early on. It might have been as if they were fighting to stay alive for something that simply wasn't worth staying alive for. To be a human being will be seen as a burden as opposed to a blessing or a gift. So, if they were to take a step back here, they may see that firstly, they don't want to be here, and secondly, they don't feel safe enough to be here.

The Next Step Based on what is currently going on for them, they might not be able to see a way forward. The key here will be for one to keep in mind that what is going on internally and externally is not set in stone; this is something that can change. Naturally, their life is not going to change overnight; it will take patience and persistence. If they can find within themselves the part of them that does want to be here and the part of them that does believe that their life can be different, they will be able to gradually change their life.

One Step at a Time It might not always be possible for them to stay connected to these parts and this is not something that they need to be too concerned about. Through working on their own trauma and finding things on this earth that lift them up and bring them joy; the healthy parts of them will grow. For one thing, spending time in nature is likely to be extremely beneficial when it comes to this process.

This is somewhere where one can start to develop an inner sense of safety and security and, thereby, make it easier for them to connect to and stay in, their own body. Awareness If one can relate to this, and they are ready to change their own life, they may need to reach out for external support. This is something that can take place with the assistance of a therapist or healer.

Debunking the Curve of Forgetting

Debunking the Curve of Forgetting By William T Batten | Submitted On December 08, 2020

You've heard this before, I'm sure - maybe even during some training: "By tomorrow, you'll have forgotten half of what happened today. In a week, you'll only remember one or two things. In a year, you'll have forgotten everything."

Yikes - way to prime people to forget... I honestly can't think of anything worse to say to people, short of continuously belittling their intelligence.

Yet you hear it all the time.

Bonus points if they ask you to sign up for their next course. What'd be the point of that, if you'll forget it all?

Anyway...

The 'curve of forgetting' came about from a nice little experiment. Researchers got subjects to memorise a random list of words. Then they tested their recall an hour later, four hours later, a day later, a week later... Sure enough, the number of words they could remember decreased along a nice curve. Foolish folks shrug their shoulders and say, what's the point. They're going to forget it all anyway, so training is a waste of time. Smarter folks factor this into their courses. If your learners will only remember one or two things, don't leave that to chance - design the course so they remember the two things you want. For everything else, hand out resources, guides and templates. But the wisest among the course designers? "Hang on... that applies to rote memorisation of context-free information. That doesn't apply to my courses!" They're right to think that, as it shouldn't apply. Yeah, if you're vomiting data at learners and they don't see what it means for them, beware the curve of forgetting. But if your training is practical, useful and meaningful..

... full of stories, group learning and movement...

... they're going to remember a lot more than just one or two things.

They won't recall everything... But I'm thinking about a great course I took in 2014 or so. In ten seconds of thinking on it, I can remember four practical tips from it - and there's a lot more I don't remember that I remember, if you follow my thinking on that. The same goes for my courses. If you're the right person for the message - the sort who can see the value in what I teach - you'll remember most of it. Much more than some pesky line through data might otherwise predict. Don't settle for a curve of forgetting - your learners deserve better. Like... say... these 12 principles that take any course (online or in-person) and make it amazing. And, yes, memorable. In less than an hour, you'll know the 12 principles, know how to use them and have experienced each of them. \"I Hate You, Don't Leave Me"

"I Hate You, Don't Leave Me" By Oliver JR Cooper | Submitted On December 09, 2020

A number of years ago, I read a book called "I Hate You, Don't Leave Me: Understanding the Borderline Personality." This is an old book, originally published in 1989, but I thought it was still excellent.

I would say that even if someone doesn't have a borderline personality or even know someone who does, it can still allow them to develop a greater understanding of themselves and others. The reason for this is that even if someone doesn't have this 'disorder', they might still be able to relate to some of the traits or experience these traits during stressful times, or another person in their life might.

The Perfect Title

The title of this book is a great example of what someone is likely to come out with, or express through their behaviour, if they have this type of 'disorder'. Ultimately, what this illustrates is that someone like this is usually heavily conflicted and finds it hard to experience inner harmony and peace.

But, although this title is very good, I didn't think deeply about it when I was actually reading the book. Since that time, I have gained a deeper understanding of these words and formed a conclusion around why someone would use them and/or experience this inner dichotomy.

A Deeper Look

If someone has this type of 'disorder', it is highly likely that they had a childhood from hell. The stability, consistency and nurturance that they needed to grow and develop, simply wouldn't have been available on a regular basis.

As a result of this, part of them would have naturally experienced a lot of rage and hate towards their caregivers. The trouble is that due to how powerless and dependent they were on their caregivers at this stage of their life, they wouldn't have been able to act on these feelings by either attacking or running away from them.

A Divided Being

So, as much as this part of them didn't like their caregivers and wanted to get away from them, their very survival was attached to them. To another part of them, then, not being around these people would have lead to their demise.

What would have also played a part in them not wanting their caregivers to leave them would have been the trauma that they were carrying. The abuse and neglect that they went through would have caused them to experience a lot of rejection and abandonment and this would also have been triggered if they were left.

A painful Existence

Therefore, not only would their early years have stopped them from developing a strong sense of self, it would have caused them to carry at least two parts/selves that are not in a good way. In other words, they won't have strong foundations, and they will have the tendency to merge with one of two inner experiences; experiences that will cause them to be out of touch with their own inner resources and a very limited view of reality.

Moreover, the love/hate relationship that they had with their own caregivers will be played out in their adult relationships (projection). Their inner world will be very turbulent and, consequently, so will their outer world.

It Didn't Happen

Another reason why they will operate in extremes when it comes to others and themselves will be because they didn't go through an important developmental stage. During around the second or third year of their life, they should have merged the 'good mother image with the bad mother image', thereby allowing them to move out of a very one-dimensional view of others and themselves.

This would have enabled them to see that life is not black and white and that there is everything in between, which would allow them to be more in balance internally and to experience life in all its richness. If the care that they needed was provided during this time, they would have most likely have been able to grow out of this.

Final Thoughts Considering this, if someone can relate to this, they will need to keep in mind that they are not bad and neither is there anything inherently wrong with them. They had a very challenging childhood and this left them in an undeveloped state and emotionally raw. รข And, thanks to how their caregivers treated them and the meaning that their mind made out of what happened, they can carry a lot of toxic shame. For someone in this position, it will be essential for them to reach out for external support.
